An active client is someone that has accepted a proposal with Practice Ignition for any given month. Most commonly an active client will represent a single business, legal entity or person. A client will remain active for the period of the proposal.
No, we only bill for a client once they have accepted a proposal that has been created through Practice Ignition.
No, if you cancel all proposals for a client, you will not get any further charges for that client.
You can create as many proposals for a client as you like and you will only get billed once per month for that client.
You can upgrade your account by entering your credit card at any time during your trial. If you do reach the end of your trial your account will be put on hold until you enter payment details (or decide to cancel). While your account is on hold no data is deleted and any previously sent proposals can still be accepted by your clients but they will not generate invoices or deploy workflows.

You'll be given advance notification and your subscription will automatically upgrade to the next plan. If the upgrade occurs half way through a billing cycle, the current month will be pro-rated.
You're welcome to sign up to the Mars plan to start if you'd like to test your account, but we do recommend signing up to the plan that is appropriate to you from the start. It will only downgrade automatically to the plan you originally subscribed to. If you subscribed to Neptune, but downgrade to less than 100 active clients, your plan will remain in Neptune. If you subscribed to Mars, upgraded to Neptune, and then downgraded to less than 100 active clients, your plan will automatically downgrade to Mars.
